About Iara

Iara Côrtes created La Flora — a space for attention, ritual, and new ways of seeing.

Her work moves through meditation, writing, and small practices that change how we relate to ourselves and the world around us.

La Flora began with a long period of research and observation — studying plants, their properties, their histories, and the symbolic language that has grown around them across time. This process led to the creation of a botanical tarot deck, where each card brings together a plant and an archetype.

Over time, the work shifted.

Less focused on interpretation, more on presence.
Less on systems, more on attention.

What remains is a practice of noticing — and of staying.

Her background spans cooking, design, and illustration — disciplines that share a sensitivity to form, material, and attention.
